Based in Manchester, Catholic Deaf are an association for both Deaf and hearing people who offer services and support Deaf people. The association is dedicated to empowering Deaf people through the church, and by encouraging them to fulfil their potential. Offering a variation of events, services and projects, Catholic Deaf Association operates both regionally and nationally.
In addition to offering deaf awareness and communication strategy training, Catholic Deaf offer specialised Catholic education and leadership for Deaf people.
As one of CACDP’s founding organisations, Catholic Deaf were actively involved with the initial study group. It is the combined effort of all these organisations which allowed CACDP to develop independently and become a truly forward-thinking charity.
