At Signature, we offer a wide range of BSL teacher training and sign language courses to support aspiring and practising teachers throughout their career journey. Successful British Sign Language teaching places inclusive communication at its core. With this in mind, our British sign language teacher training courses are designed to support your journey into teaching, or to help you refresh your existing BSL teaching skills.
We offer several BSL teacher training courses, so no matter your skill level, there’s an online course suited to your needs. Our courses are designed to not only help teachers refine their skills when it comes to teaching British Sign Language, but to also provide aspiring teachers with the foundational skills needed for success. Using the Signature Learning Hub, teachers will be able to undertake our BSL level 1 course through to our Level 4 BSL courses, all whilst contributing to Continuing Professional Development.
Flexibility is at the core of our BSL teacher training courses. With this in mind, all of our courses are available online and can be accessed at any time from your computer, tablet or smartphone, enabling you to work at your own pace and rewatch the training videos as often as you like.
Understanding grammar in British Sign Language is an integral part of teaching BSL, which is why we offer an Understanding BSL Grammar course. This course is CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accredited, and contributes 3 points to your CPD portfolio. Made up of 3 modules (1 point per module), this course offers you unlimited access for 12 months, enabling you to access the course whenever you need.

Key Teaching Skills is online professional development for those who teach British Sign Language (BSL). CPD accredited, it has been designed to grow knowledge of classroom management and challenge your own role as a teacher. This will contribute 3 points to your CPD portfolio. Key Teaching Skills offers you unlimited access for 12 months, which means you can access content again and again.
Developed by Jade Matos Carew, Senior Assessment Manager at University of Cambridge (English Language Assessment), key teaching skills is an e-learning package for those who teach BSL.
