The Eastenders star who wowed judges on Strictly Come Dancing will star and be an executive producer for an adaptation of Will Dean’s Dark Pines, the first novel in the Tuva Moodyson Mysteries.
The series follows a deaf reporter who works for a small local paper in her Scottish hometown. The reporter hopes to shine through with a story that will make a name for herself. Unfortunately, the way this materialises is in the form of a story regarding the return of a serial killer returning after 20 years away. Despite making front-page stories that could significantly boost her career, is this perhaps a step towards a dangerous ending?
The thriller will be forged as a six-part thriller and should not be missed.
Ayling-Ellis will be executive producing alongside some very talented producers that include Caroline skinner (Doctor Who, Our Girl) and Belinda Campbell (Death in Paradise, Beyond Paradise). The scriptwriter of this crime drama is Charlotte Jones, who is best known for ‘The Halcyon’.
