Following agreement from the Signature board earlier this month, work is now underway towards a potential application for recognition as a GCSE awarding body. At this stage, we are waiting to get more clarity on the process for this and expect to engage with Ofqual in the near future.
We have already begun the work required to support a potential application. This is a complex and time consuming process, but we remain committed to progressing this work carefully and responsibly. Gaining recognition from Ofqual is the first step, this needs to happen before we can begin to develop the qualification.
We will continue to engage with key stakeholders and provide updates as and when can.
