Signature and Let’s Sign to expand free resources for Schools through the School of Signs

Signature, the UK’s leading awarding body for Deaf communication and language qualifications, is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Let’s Sign, one of the most trusted and widely used providers of visual sign language resources in the UK.

Through The School of Sign, this collaboration will bring all Let’s Sign school resources onto The School of Signs platform — creating one central hub where primary schools can access a comprehensive collection of free, high-quality BSL teaching materials.

The partnership will mean schools have everything they need to deliver engaging, inclusive BSL learning within their curriculum. This initiative ensures that cost, access, or uncertainty are no longer barriers to bringing BSL into classrooms across the UK.

This marks a significant step forward in Signature’s mission to help every child learn British Sign Language. Schools will now benefit from a unified suite of resources that includes lessons, video and visual dictionaries, flashcards, classroom displays, lesson activities, and curriculum-linked materials — all freely available through The School of Signs.

Lindsay Foster, Executive Director of Signature, said:

“Every school should have the opportunity to deliver British Sign Language confidently, and now they can. By bringing Let’s Sign resources into The School of Signs, we’re removing barriers and giving schools the tools they need to make inclusion part of everyday learning.

This partnership empowers teachers, inspires pupils, and ensures BSL education is freely accessible to all.”

Cath Smith, Founder of Let’s Sign, added:

“Let’s Sign has always aimed to make communication visual, inclusive, and achievable for everyone. Working with Signature means our resources can now reach more schools than ever before, backed by the structure and support that ensure lasting impact. Together, we’re giving schools no reason not to deliver BSL — the resources, guidance, and passion are all here, ready to use.”

Over the coming months, The School of Signs platform will continue to expand with further lessons, more learner resources and additional teacher support, designed to help schools embed BSL into everyday learning.

Together, Signature and Let’s Signs vision is to make BSL a natural and celebrated part of every child’s education. We are transforming the landscape of BSL primary education — combining heritage, innovation, and leadership to empower schools and strengthen inclusion across the UK.
