Signature are proud to announce that we have inducted 2 new individuals into The Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame celebrates individuals whose work and values reflect Signature, and who we are as an organisation. The chosen individuals continue to dedicate their work and daily life to make a difference to the lives of deaf people, and this is something we take pride in recognising here at Signature.
Susan Daniels OBE has been inducted for her years of commitment to improving the lives of deaf children and their families. Through her work at the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) and her role as CEO at the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS), Susan has championed equal access and has been a key figure in national campaigns, such as the campaign for a BSL GCSE. It is important to celebrate the work Susan has done to make a vital difference in the lives of deaf children and why we would like to commend her with an induction into the Signature Hall of Fame.

Daniel Jillings has been inducted for his commitment and ongoing campaign for a BSL GCSE. Daniel began campaigning for the GCSE at the age of 12, and has been a very important figure in the developmental stages of the GCSE. Daniel’s passion highlights how crucial a BSL GCSE is, not only for those who are deaf but for those who are hearing as well. Daniel’s induction into the Hall of Fame recognises Daniel’s influential role and his unwavering commitment to the Deaf community.
This year, over one hundred people submitted a nomination, highlighting the ongoing work that is done to improve the lives of deaf people and their access.
