Paul Keenan, Signature Project Officer, facilitated a Realise Your Potential workshop as part of the DCID project earlier this month.
A group of seven Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing adults attended the workshop with the aim of taking stock of their skills, becoming interested in and aware of learning opportunities, and setting goals for the future.
The sessions, lead by Mairead McFadden, focused on making participants more aware of learning opportunities, more confident in their skills and abilities and teaching them how to compile a CV and create a clear action plan.
Participants said that they had found the weekend extremely useful, learned how to use their strengths and skills and that the course had made them feel more confident.
This workshop is one of many events taking place across Ireland as part of the DCID Project.
