Signature’s Chief Executive, Jim Edwards, is meeting with Lord Nigel Jones of Cheltenham today, 26 June, to discuss access to services for deaf people.
Jim originally met with Lord Jones earlier this month at the Hearing Screening for Life Campaign launch which was hosted by Stephen Lloyd MP in the House of Commons.
Lord Jones is a distinguished member of the House of Lords and was the Liberal Democrat for Cheltenham between 1992 and 2005. He was ennobled in 2005 for his contribution to public life.
As Member of Parliament for Cheltenham, Lord Jones was instrumental in introducing digital hearing aids in his constituency. He has a personal interest in deaf issues because his wife has hearing loss.
The meeting takes place in the House of Lords and Jim is looking forward to a productive discussion with Lord Hunt.
