Signature’s Level 6 Certificate in Working Effectively with Deafblind Manual and Visual Frame and Hands On has been confirmed as an official route to registration by NRCPD.
The qualification, which provides learners with skills to interpret effectively and make language accessible to deafblind people, is currently the only available Level 6 qualification in deafblind communication.
Executive director of Signature, Lindsay Foster, said: “This change is a reflection of Signature’s ongoing commitment to improving communication through effective qualifications. Now that the qualification is a route to NRCPD registration, we’re looking forward to seeing an increase in the protection of deafblind public through professional and high quality interpretation.”
