We are urging MPs to get behind Stephen Lloyd’s Hearing Screening for Life campaign by signing his Early Day Motion (EDM).
The EDM entitled Hearing Screening Programme for People Aged 65 aims to raise awareness of the negative impact of undetected hearing loss and put pressure on the government to bring about change.
The core aim of Stephen’s campaign is to introduce a national hearing screening programme for people aged 65. The purpose of this is to detect the early signs of hearing loss and enable people to derive maximum benefit from using hearing aids. Early diagnosis and intervention could also reduce the costs of hearing loss to the NHS.
We are actively lobbying MPs to support the EDM and hope it will be a great success.
