Signature qualifications are reviewed annually. We are working hard to prepare all our qualifications for the 2011/2012 academic year.
As part of this review and the feedback we received, improvements have been made to the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting qualification. The assessment guidance notes have been improved and are now clearer with more detail.
What happens next?
CILT, the Sector Skills Body, that supports language qualifications and standards have recently merged with the Council for Administration (CfA). This means that the CfA will take over responsibility for the standards and support of qualifications. We are waiting for confirmation from them to update some areas of information and as soon as we have that the qualification specification will be made available.
