In December Paul Keen, decided the time was right for him to step down as Signature Chair after 10 years.
Paul has been a member of our Board of Trustees for 10 years, serving the last 5 as chair.
Paul has overseen arguably the biggest challenge to face Signature over the last 40 years with the Covid Pandemic, he has offered his full support, guidance, and commitment to the role to guide us through this.
During his tenure, Signature has made substantial progress with a GCSE in BSL, which is now waiting for the Department for Education and Ofqual to release a consultation early in 2022.
He was also our chair when Signature won the ‘Awarding Organisation of the Year’ at the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) awards in 2019 – which was an outstanding achievement.
Lindsay Foster, Executive Director at Signature said “Signature would like to thank Paul for everything he has done for us over the last 10 years, he has pushed us to become the best awarding organisation that we can be and to successfully work towards our charitable objectives.
Personally, I would like to thank Paul for all the help he has provided to me, he has been really understanding in a challenging period and has provided me with the backing and assistance I have needed.
We wish him all the best for the future.”
Signature will make a further announcement regarding our new Chair tomorrow.
