Mike Penning the newly appointed Minister for Disabled People announced an internal review of the access to communication support for deaf and hard of hearing people, at a meeting attended by Signature earlier in the week.

Ofcom has introduced new reporting measures to assess the quality of live subtitles as a result of Signature's recommendations. This follows our response to their consultation Measuring the Quality of Live TV Subtitles, earlier in the year.
MP drop-in event to raise awareness of communication and language support

In collaboration with deaf sector colleagues, including the Brtisih Deaf Association, we have arranged a drop in event for MPs to raise awareness of the need for improved communication and language support for deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people.
Lily-Rose is selected to design her very own Onesie

On Monday 30 September, the lucky winner of our Win a Onesie competition was selected at random. Congratulations to Lily-Rose Fancourt who completed our Learner Survey, she will receive a £150 voucher to use at The All-in-One Company. Lily-Rose, who is from Essex, will have the opportunity to design and personalise her very own Onesie.
