(CPD) Applied Sign Linguistics Course - University of Central Lancashire

The University of Central Lancashire is delivering a course which is open to teachers who teach or wish to teach British Sign Language (BSL). Participants should hold a Level 3 qualification e.g. the Signature Level 3 NVQ in British Sign Language or equivalent.



Update on Campaign for a BSL Bill for Scotland

Last summer, Mark Griffin MSP launched a consultation on introducing a BSL bill for Scotland. In total, 1,192 responses were received. The average is normally around 40. Public sector organisations, deaf groups and hundreds of individuals from across Scotland and beyond made their views known and the feedback was around 98% positive.


New Level 3 Qualification

Earlier last year we told you that we were reviewing our Level 3 NVQ Certificate in British Sign Language and Irish Sign Language. We asked you for your opinions on the topics, assessment methods and suitability of the qualification for progression to Level 6 and Interpreting/Translation qualifications.
