Deaf Wrestler Seeks Sponsorship

Sean Noone, a profoundly deaf professional wrestler is looking for sponsorship to attend the Deaf Nation World Expo 2010 in Las Vegas. Sean, who is one of three professional deaf wrestlers in the UK, is set to compete in the international wrestling show at the Deaf Nation World Expo which takes place this summer during July.

Sean has been a professional wrestler for the last four years working with Power Trip Wrestling (PTW) based in Luton, Bedfordshire. The former PTW British Champion has also organised fundraising shows for young deaf people in Birmingham and Derby.

Deaf Nation World Expo is the international event for the Deaf people across the world. This event aims to encourage the deaf community to get together, sharing their culture, information and discussing deaf issues in their own countries across the world. It is expected that over 50,000 people will attend this year’s event.

Away from wrestling Sean is a team leader for a youth and community development centre who works with young people in Birmingham and Solihull. He is also a former member of Youth parliament for UKYP where he was the first ever deaf member for UKYP. He also represents the international charity UNICEF.
