National Thank a Teacher Day

Today (June 23rd 2021) is National Thank a Teacher Day, and we want to come together to thank our teachers and centres as part of a national campaign to praise the work that they do.

Throughout the pandemic our teachers have made us incredibly proud, they have excelled at continuing to deliver our qualifications to the highest of standards in exceptional circumstances. They have supported their candidates and helped them to achieve their qualifications.

So to all of our teachers, Thank you! We really are grateful for the wonderful work you continue to do.

National Thank a Teacher Day is organised by The Teaching Awards Trust (established in 1998 by Lord David Puttnam), the annual Thank a Teacher campaign calls on learners to thank teachers and staff who go above and beyond. The charity’s mission is to raise the profile of the teaching profession, highlighting the positive impact teachers have in our society.

At the end of March 2021, a student from Deaflinks reached out to us about his British Sign Language Level 1 class experience (read the full article here).

Today using the hashtag #ThankATeacherDay, we will join in with the campaign and share some more of the testimonials we have received from students.

We will always welcome wonderful feedback, so if you’re a Signature student and you think your teacher needs to be recognised, share that with us here.
