Signature will be attending this year’s NATED Conference, taking place at New College Durham on May 14.
The conference will be made up of several interesting workshops covering topics such as “Translate or Interpret? The road to good interpreting.”, “Notetakers: who, why, what, where and when?”, and “Some important factors to consider when interpreting for Deaf learners.”.
As well as the workshops, Signature’s Maria Bailey will be one of two keynote speakers on the day. For the past two years, Maria has been the Signature I-Sign Project officer whose role has been to research and develop the new qualification for CSWs. She is also a working CSW. Maria will give an update on the progress made with the CSW qualification over the last twelve months. She will also give a report of the I-Sign Project and give information about new developments that Signature is currently working on.
Other Signature staff will also be present and will be more than happy to answer any questions about our qualifications or any other queries.
