Festival of Learning is the biggest celebration of lifelong learning in England.
Festival of Learning celebrates the outstanding achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives and the lives of others. Our mission is to highlight the vast benefits for individuals, families, communities, society and the economy and to encourage everyone to embrace lifelong learning.
Festival of Learning is the best time to showcase how lifelong learning benefits families, communities, society and the economy.
During Festival of Learning’s Have a Go Month, hundreds of organisations hold learning events and activities, such as taster sessions, open days and lectures. The aim of these activities is to inspire people of all ages to ‘have a go’ at learning something new and discover what they love to learn.
Supporting Festival of Learning by nominating learners and hosting ‘have a go’ events raises the profile of the learning opportunities available, encourages adults to try something new, and ultimately creates a real celebration of the joy of learning.
Festival of Learning is a great opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives. Through these stories we know that learning not only helps the learner but their families, the communities they live in and the places they work.
Festival of Learning is led by Learning and Work Institute. L&W is an independent policy, research and development organisation dedicated to lifelong learning, full employment and inclusion. For more information visit www.learningandwork.org.uk
