Action on Hearing Loss have prepared a paper providing an overview of the research investigating the links between hearing loss and mental health problems. The paper starts with definitions of hearing loss, tinnitus and mental health before going on to consider prevalence rates for mental health problems amongst people with hearing loss and/or tinnitus. It also provides an overview of various risk factors identified in the literature associated with hearing loss, tinnitus and mental health
