Doug Bradley, Signature Communications Manager for Scotland, attended the Cross Party Group on Deafness meeting at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on 11 December.

We are looking forward to attending the UK Council on Deafness conference, The Health Reforms – their Impact on Services for People with Hearing Loss and Deafness, on 17 January in London.

Paul Keenan, Signature Project Officer, facilitated a Realise Your Potential workshop as part of the DCID project earlier this month.

On 29 November, Signature held an Assessor Training Day at our head office in Durham. The day was facilitated by Ian Robinson who provided advice and guidance for assessors on the marking of Signature Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications using our standards and codes.

Signature is currently working with a number of deafblind organisations across the UK to develop new and relevant qualifications which meet the needs of deafblind people and those staff who work with them.

We have improved the way we process assessments for the Level 3 Certificate in Communication for Deaf Learners.

Everyone at Signature is committed to improving customer service standards. To help us do this, it is important we know how you feel about the service we offer. In the past, our survey of centres has been incredibly helpful in making sure we offer the service you want.

At the recent DUP Annual Conference, Signature Communications Manager, Pam Tilson, was given the opportunity to discuss the work Signature is doing to promote excellence in communication with deaf and deaf blind people.

Signature is glad to see large publications like the Independent are reporting on the issues surrounding deaf inclusion and the importance of communication professionals working in the field.
