There is now only 10 days left to get your nominations in for the Learner of the Year and Teacher of the Year.
Help us celebrate the exceptional commitment and efforts made by many learners and teachers of our qualifications, who through their drive and enthusiasm deserve recognition for their dedicated efforts to overcome barriers to communication between deaf and hearing people. You can nominate someone you know or yourself at www.signature.org.uk/awards.
Our awards panel will build shortlists and award regional Learners and Teachers from the nominations you submit before putting them forward for the over all Learner of the Year and Teacher of the Year. National winners will be announced at our glittering awards ceremony in London in November; where we will welcome family and friends from all those short listed in celebrating their outstanding achievements.
Many people deserve recognition of their dedicated efforts to overcome barriers to communication between deaf and hearing people. Signature Annual Awards provide that recognition by acknowledging those whose contribution moves us all further toward achieving a society in which deaf people have full access.
There are five award categories in total – the Joseph Maitland Robinson Award for Outstanding Contribution, Learner of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Communication Professional of the Year and Organisational Achievement.
The nominations for the Learner of the Year and Teacher of the Year award categories will close at midnight 3 May 2009. The other categories will close on 23 June 2009.
