Communication Professional of the Year Award Criteria

Nominations for this award can come from colleagues, employers, peers or friends. Self nominations are also welcome.

To nominate someone for Communication Professional of the Year, you will need to tell us about them and their work. When completing the nomination, please respond to each of the following sections. It is important that you answer as many questions, with as much information as possible. Each question will be scored individually.

Section One - About the Nominee

  • Tell us what inspired the nominee to become a communication professional?

Section Two - At Work

Tell us about the nominee when they are on an assignment.

  • What makes this nominee stand out from their peers?
  • In what ways does the nominee provide a consistent, high quality service?
  • Over what time period has the nominee worked as a communication professional?

Section Three - the Profession

  • What has the nominee done to promote or improve standards in their field?
  • What part has the nominee played in the provision and development of communication with deaf and deafblind people?
  • How has the nominee encouraged others to progress?
  • Is the nominee involved with any related professional associations? If so, in what capacity?
