Fifers recognised for communication skills
People recognised for their achievements in deaf communication are a step closer to winning a prestigious awards.
Signature, the charity that champions excellence in communication with deaf people, has announced the shortlists and Ailsa Flett, Development Worker with Fife Council's Social Work Service has been shortlisted for Teacher of the Year in their regional categories as part of the Signature Annual Awards scheme.
Based in Kirkcaldy, the Sensory Impairment Centre provides a wide range of support offering information, support and advice on deafness and making services and information accessible to deaf people and Ailsa has been working there for two and a half years.
